This is just one of the MYTHS that the opponents of cash spend £millions every year promoting.

The revelation that banks order business customers to go “cashless”, with the threat that their accounts will be closed if they continue to accept cash should surprise no one.
The majority of UK banks have been implementing a PLAN for 15 years plus, a PLAN to force the UK public to towards “cashless”.
This PLAN was inevitable when the same banks decided to strip their bra....
It sounds good - the public is being “consulted”.

The UK is fortunate to continue to have 11,500 post offices, providing all their original core services PLUS giving the British public and business access to cash withdrawal and deposit facilities.

The Royal Assent of the Financial Services and Markets Bill gives HM Treasury tremendous power to decide the fate of cash.
What we know so far about the Treasury plans is NOT reassuring.
For example, one ATM in a community of 30,000 people is set to be declared “reasonable” by the Treasury.
It is NOT.
And the Payment Choice Alliance will be making that VERY clear to Chancellor Hunt....

On Monday 26th June, Starbucks coffee shops were suddenly unable to accept credit or debit cards, or other contactless forms of payment, the Seattle-based company said in an emailed statement late in the day.
Many cities and States in the United States already have their own Payment Choice laws.
Now Washington is looking to introduce a Federal Law that will mean all Americans have the right to spends their $’s, when and where they choose.

Conservative MP for Dover Natalie Elphicke has written to Chancellor Jeremy Hunt asking for the public’s right to use cash to be legally safeguarded.
