It sounds good - the public is being “consulted”.
However, too often such “consultations” are superficial exercises, with the outcome already decided by the “Authorities”.
Statistics show that over 50 million UK adults continue to use cash. That’s more than 90% of adults.
The Isle of Man “Authorities” should be planning ahead on that basis, tweaking if their “consultation” shows demand for cash on the island is slightly more or less.
