The revelation that banks order business customers to go “cashless”, with the threat that their accounts will be closed if they continue to accept cash should surprise no one. The majority of UK banks have been implementing a PLAN for 15 years plus, a PLAN to force the UK public to towards “cashless”. This PLAN was inevitable when the same banks decided to strip their bra....

It sounds good - the public is being “consulted”. However, too often such “consultations” are superficial exercises, with the outcome already decided by the “Authorities”. Statistics show that over 50 million UK adults continue to use cash. That’s more than 90% of adults. The Isle of Man “Authorities” should be planning ahead on that basis, ....

For some crazy reason Wendy’s thought it was a “good idea” to go “cashless” when opening their new restaurant in Colchester. Their customers HATE it! Wendy’s say they are “monitoring the situation”. No need! Start accepting cash NOW!

Among the many reasons why “cashless” parking is a negative move, is the fact that bogus stickers on car park payment machines are fooling customers into sending fraudsters their bank account details! Gloucestershire council should NEVER had made their car parks “cashless” in the first place. A Gloucestershire politician says: “It’s not a decision ever taken lightly when we move to “cashless” parking but it is …a reflection of the modern world that we are having to move that way.” Not taken lightly? The truth is the council gave not ONE SECOND....

This article just underlines that if any business is only going to accept one payment type, it has got to be cash. A Post Office survey last year showed that over 50% of small businesses only accept cash, so the Kent pub owner is following a good example! And paying staff in cash is a great idea too! Everyone was paid in cash in the 1950s - it was sensible then and it is NOW! One big advantage....

40% of all donations to the British Legion are made in cash, despite the fact that they accept “contactless”. Is “cashless” now the misers’ excuse? One thing is certain; it is cash users who will go on funding the British Legion, buskers and the poor who so often now are seemingly forced to live on British streets. Cash users NEVER make excuses - they are spontaneo....

It is beyond belief that some councils continue to conspire to create “cashless” car parks. They have been instructed NOT to go “cashless” by Levelling Up Minister Michael Gove!
