Every one of the UK’s immediate neighbours has already taken steps in the same direction.
Meantime in the UK, where a LINK Scheme Ltd survey just revealed that 71% of British adults see cash as vital for personal freedom, a government run by The Labour Party tries to maintain the position that the whim of individual businesses dictates whether or not cash is accepted.
The Payment Choice Alliance has written to Prime Minister Keir Starmer asking him to change this untenable stance.
Time is running out to deal with this in a smooth fashion that meets the requirements of the British public. Tens of millions of people are growing VERY impatient.
