Cineworld Cinemas go “cash only” in Ipswich, messaging their potential customers "Please do book your tickets at the tills as online booking are not going through currently.” Isn’t it lucky that we still have cash on which to rely. Cash, which NEVER crashes or necessitates the message:
“Please do book your tickets online. Cash isn’t working currently.”
That’s one of the reasons - just one - why cash must be included in the National Payments Vision.
Lets hope HM Treasury , the Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority - currently between them contriving a “Vision” that doesn’t include cash - understand this clear and obvious intelligence.
