“Cashless” Is NOT “Modern”!

A classic quote from a councillor at St Albans City & District Council.

“It was always our intention to find a way for people to pay by cash although modern parking machines do not allow this.”

The truth?

Many councils ARE installing “modern parking machines” which DO accept cash payments.

St Albans City & District Council clearly simply did not want to buy this type of “modern machine”.

There is nothing “modern” about “cashless”, except in the sense it reflects a modem trend for government, both national and local, to seek to limit the rights and freedoms of the British public.

Genuine democracy?
