Revolut, when it surveyed its sophisticated digitally- skilled UK customers, found that 71% had deposited cash with a bank or other financial institution in the last year, as well as 34% wanted a feature to be able to deposit cash monthly.
These figures are STAGGERING.
Remember, this is in the UK, which, so the story goes, is almost ready to go “cashless”. Within 24 hours of Revolut finally being granted a UK banking licence, this new bank has ripped apart the script that has been used by the anti-cash brigade for more than a decade.
Cash is NOT dead in the UK.
The attempted MURDER of cash was in progress - but Revolut have now removed the real bullets from the erstwhile assassins guns. All they have left is blanks.
To repeat this truly AMAZING news:
71% OF REVOLUT CUSTOMERS HAD DEPOSITED CASH IN THE LAST YEAR AND 34% WANT TO DO SO EVERY MONTH.
The next time anyone releases a statement about “a few million” Brits “needing” to use cash, they will find themselves facing howls of derision - especially from supporters of the Payment Choice Alliance!
