Councils which Impose “Cashless†Car Parks Must be Sanctioned!
Posted on: 15/01/2024Michael Gove, Minister for Communities, wrote to every Local Authority in 2023 telling them they must accept cash in their car parks.
Every Local Authority in the UK should know by now that a Payment Choice Act will be in place by 2025.
Yet some misguided Councils are STILL switching their car parks to “cashless”.
This is yet another British Public Scandal, with ratepayers money being flagrantly wasted on a switch to “cashless” that will have to be reversed.
What sanctions will be imposed on Local Authorities for their irresponsibility?
No doubt this will emerge in the months ahead.
