The PCA Chair Ron Delnevo spoke at the prestigious Pay360 conference in London this week

The event was attended by several thousand financial services professionals and many regard it as the UK’s most important industry event.

Ron Delnevo was joined on stage by James Daley, the founder of Fairer Finance.

How did it go? Here’s Ron's view on the event:
“It was particularly heartening to see the audience really engage on the subject of cash. Many carried cash; more continued to use cash sometimes; a few didn’t use cash at all; some WANTED to use cash, even if they don’t NEED to do so; unsurprisingly, very few wanted a “cashless” society.”

And the views of the audience at Pay360 reflect those of the public in general - VERY FEW WANT A “CASHLESS” UK.

Yet some businesses are failing to respect the wishes of the UK public and are now refusing to accept cash.

Which is why a Payment Choice Act is needed right now, in 2023, to require all businesses to accept cash.
