What does the Bank of England propose to ensure the British public can use cash?
ZERO.
Meantime, HM Treasury has seen anti cash former Junior Ministers put together “policies” wholly inadequate to safeguard the British publics convenient access to cash - and which ignore cash acceptance entirely.
It is, quite frankly, a total disgrace.
In Sweden, a far smaller percentage of the population continue to use cash than is the case in the UK.
Yet the Swedish Authorities view it as imperative to ensure that those Swedish citizens who want or need to use cash can continue to do so.
Why do the British public deserve less?
It’s time Rishi Sunak and those at HM Treasury who are supposed to have some common sense, like Jeremy Hunt and Bim Afolami MP,
responded positively and decisively to what the vast majority of the British public have made clear they want - a law that gives them the right to spend their cash, when and where they choose.
This IS going to happen, under this government or the next.
