Cash kept at home for “emergencies” is NOT subject to impulse spending.
However, carrying cards or an Apple Pay enabled iPhone whilst shoppping definitely IS.
As evidenced by the marketing of Visa and Mastercard to shopkeepers, which highlighted the fact that customers using cards would spend more!
Keeping some cash at home is not “good to do”, it is VITAL - AND must remain a CHOICE.
