Poor cash access and unreliable internet services are killing trade for small businesses in THOUSANDS of communities around the UK.
Sandbach in Cheshire is just one sad example.
However, when the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) say that all of this must be put right “ to enable small firms to continue to accept cash if they wish to “, they are placing the wishes of their members ahead of the wishes of the British public.
That CANNOT be right.
71% of British adults - so the equivalent of 40 million people - told YouGov last year that they want a law passed in the UK to guarantee they can spend their cash, when and where they choose; a Payment Choice Act.
We stand with the British public, who will NOT stand for businesses, large or small, refusing to accept their cash.
The sooner the FSB recognise that fact, the better.
