Ireland banning “cashless” is surely the beginning of the end for “cashless” in the UK.

It would be absolutely crazy if a few yards across the border in the Irish Republic you can insist on having your cash accepted BUT back in Northern Ireland you can’t!

Rishi Sunak can prove that he is not as out of touch as he sometimes seems by announcing the same measures in the UK. Those measures would give the British public the same legal rights to spend their cash as the Irish public enjoy.
