The figures are even more impressive than they seem at first glance, because even with a welcome policy of keeping branches open, Nationwide Building Society has actually seen a reduction in their own ATM numbers since January 2022.
So the real increase in cash withdrawals per ATM will be far greater than 4% - it is probably double that level!
