Irish Retail Boss Says 100% of His Members Welcome Cash!

A very good interview here with Vincent Jennings, CEO of Ireland’s Convenience Stores and Newsagents Association (CSNA).

Even before the Irish governments legal measures come into force, compelling retailers to accept cash, Vincent is proud to say that none of his 1500 members are “cashless” and that “it’s a fool that turns down money”.

It’s great to hear a retailer association making clear it is against “cashless” and that it’s members do not need to wait for a law to compel them to accept cash : 100% accept cash anyway.

The moral high ground?

CSNA definitely occupy it, acting firmly in the interests of the Irish public.

It would be great to hear the British retail associations making similar unequivocal statements.

British Retail Consortium, Association of Convenience Stores, Petrol Retailers Association and Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) all have members providing vital services to the British public.

There will be a UK Payment Choice Act soon - but why wait?

A Declaration NOW that ALL members accept cash - as the CSNA has done - would tell the British public that retailers are 100% supportive of their wishes and needs.

Why not join the CSNA on the moral high ground?

Are the British public not entitled to the same Payment Choice as the Irish public?
