Councils MUST Stop Imposing “Cashless” NOW!
Posted on: 08/07/2024There’s the stark reality denied by those trying to impose “cashless” on the UK.
People do NOT give nearly as much when “contactless” is the only option.
It is disgraceful that a Liberal Democrat’s dominated council - Bath & North East Somerset Council - is robbing local residents and the millions of tourists who visit the area every year of Payment Choice.
And it is not just in the Roman Baths.
Significant Bath car parks are also now “cashless”.
The councillors responsible for this debacle should understand that a Payment Choice Act will end “cashless” in the UK by the end of 2025.
Those councils which leave it until the law is passed to stop imposing “cashless” may find that voters are unforgiving when the next local elections come along….
